Consumer Scientist, Sensory and Consumer Science

After earning both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The University of Tokyo, Mariya began her career as a researcher at Flamingo Tokyo, where she worked on projects reneging from predicting future beauty trends, to studying consumer attitudes and behaviors around dish washing. Prior to joining relativ* she worked as a strategist at DDB Tokyo, where she consulted for global brands including McDonalds, Unilever (Lipton), GILT, Folli Follie Group, amongst others. Her current work focuses on developing consumer insight and connection opportunities for multinational corporations including, Phillip Morris (IQOS), BNP Paribas Cardif as well as others.
