Christel Claeys is currently a professor of marketing and research methodology at KULeuven university. She is teaching market research, business research methods, consumer behaviour and communication, combining theoretical insights with practice acquired in the market.
Christel is always trying to stay abreast with the latest developments in the field. Has a special interest in the role of emotions in (consumer) decision making, and the possibility for companies to manage those.
Current research interests are: emotions in customer experiences, irrationality in decision making, choice architecture, and promoting sustainable consumer behaviour.
