Ank van Ophoven is a Global Consumer Insight Manager at Philips Lighting for conventional and LED bulbs. She has been with the company since 2005. Based in Amsterdam, she supports global marketing and R&D teams with creating research programs, coordinating and executing projects with a global scope. Her expertise and passion arise from the desire to gain profound insights, unraveling needs and motives of various target groups. She is engaged in numerous studies covering innovation processes, insight and concept validation and supports her team with proposition, packaging, branding, communication and shopper studies.
Next, she is involved in different projects uncovering the business potential in emerging regions like Africa, LATAM and the Middle East. In her work, qualitative research always plays a significant role. Before joining the Market Intelligence team she worked as the competence leader for application testing at Philips Lighting. Her carrier started at the agency side with Research International, being a consultant in qualitative research for almost 10 years. She holds a degree in Economical Psychology.
